I'm new to this sub, and thought I'd pose a question to all of you. I'm considering buying a 1978 Greco LP Custom 'black beauty'. It's a 2 Pickup model. The thing is I know nothing about this guitar other than what has been posted about in the classifieds.

Greco Guitars
I was hoping you guys could help me identify it, maybe tell me a little about it, and maybe tell me if it's worth buying? Hopefully someone on here knows a little about this guitar. Any information helps me decide if it's worth buying or not.
Here's an album of all the images that were provided to me http://imgur.com/a/f4hEo

Seller:mojostompboxes(1,056)100%, Location:Mojo Stompboxes, Ships to: AU & many other countries, Item:1729675226831976 Greco Japan EG-480 Les Paul Electric Guitar Description:The Greco EG-480 was a transitional guitar between the early 70's models and the late 70's Gibson clones. They are widely considered to be the first real competitor to USA made instruments of the same period and were made in the famous Fujigen factory. This model features a sunburst top. Japanese Gibson-style guitars (like this one) are a great alternative to a modern Gibson/Epiphone. With the hit and miss quality of modern Gibson guitars, a Japanese guitar from the 70's or 80's can prove to be a higher quality instrument that's been played in nicely. Many of these guitars will also cost you a fraction of what a new Gibson will and are also more affordable than a new Epiphone! Want to give it a play? Contact us via email (below) to organise a time at our Five Dock store. Condition: Cosmetic: Used condition, signs of use all over. Could use a service but plays well as is. Neck/Frets:No cracking on the headstock or neck joint, frets have some life left (70%). Electronics: Electronics work well. Features a pair of Maxon humbuckers. Accessories: None. Shipping:We offer a courier service Australia wide on our guitars! All prices include secure and sturdy packaging to ensure your guitar arrives safely. Contact us via email for any questions. Returns: We only offer returns on faulty or broken items, not if you change your mind. All guitars are thoroughly tested here and we'll do our best to list any known troubles in the condition section above. Got a question? Email us at mojostompboxes.com for a faster response. The Gold Miner is currently living in the outback of Australia and he is planning a little trip to good ole Las Vegas but before he can go, he needs some serious cash for gambling, booze, and um. Yea, you know, whatever else might be in Vegas that is fun to do.
